BYK-347

BYK 347 is a silicone surfactant additive that provides significant reduction in surface tension and improves substrate wetting for aqueous coating, printing ink and overprint varnish systems. BYK 347 does not increase surface slip. It is suitable for systems that do not contain co-solvents. BYK 347 is particularly effective for thin layer applications like those seen in industrial and institutional cleaning products as well as home care products. BYK 347 produces a decrease in surface tension allowing for better spreading and coverage on surfaces. Its good substrate wetting properties help ensure surfaces are thoroughly and evenly coated with minimal amount of product. BYK 347 is characterized by its ability to improve performance of thin liquid layers without compromising recoatability making it suitable for multiple component and concentrated product formulations.
