DISPERBYK 111

DISPERBYK-111 is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive that stabilizes inorganic pigments, in particular titanium dioxide. It strongly reduces millbase viscosity. DISPERBYK-111 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization, resulting in small pigment particle sizes. This leads to high gloss levels, improved color strength, increased transparency and hiding power. Viscosity is reduced, improving flow characteristics and allowing for high pigment loading. For products requiring electrostatic high rotation application, haze is significantly reduced. DISPERBYK-111 is recommended for stabilizing inorganic pigments in solvent-borne and solvent-free systems. Its anionic character makes it suitable for acid-catalyzed systems. Optimal addition levels are determined through testing but generally range from 1-5% depending on pigment type, delivering performance benefits for finish, fill, protection and color.
