BAYHYDROL A 2646

BAYHYDROL A 2646 is an anionic polyacrylate dispersion that provides outstanding performance in waterborne, low VOC two-component polyurethane coatings when combined with aliphatic polyisocyanates. As an approx. 50% dispersion in water and 1-butoxy-2-propanol, neutralized with triethanolamine, BAYHYDROL A 2646 delivers high mechanical and chemical resistance ideal for formulating hard, high-gloss sealers for mineral substrates and other applications. Its reactivity allows for short drying times, improving productivity. BAYHYDROL A 2646 also enables excellent accentuation of substrate grains like in colored coatings. It can be used to formulate high-grade, low VOC coatings for wood, metal, plastic and more. Compatibility testing is recommended when combining with other water-reducible binders due to its various potential co-reactants. The product solubility in water and tunability also expand formulation possibilities.
