DIAFIL

DIAFIL® is a highly versatile, low crystalline silica additive that will improve matting in a wide range of paints and coatings – delivering great results in both solvent- and water-based formulations at high and low pigment volume concentrations. Used as a natural matting agent and bulking product, DIAFIL® will control syneresis and in-can settling; reduce dry time and increase vapour permeability; provide excellent resistance to scrubbing and burnishing, and enable excellent tint retention in deep and accent base paint lines. Where whiteness is important, we offer variants of DiaFil diatomites with low “b” values, providing a bluish undertone and a cleaner tint. Use DIAFIL® diatomite in water-based decorative paints, interior and exterior matt and undercoats, solvent-based, semi-gloss and eggshell paints, and primers and undercoats.
