CLAYTONE HT is a rheological additive designed to be used in solvent based paints, stains, enamels, primers, and inks. As a modified montmorillonite, CLAYTONE HT functions as a thixotropic rheology modifier generating properties such as flow control and anti-setting. These characteristics make CLAYTONE HT well suited for industrial coating and finishing applications where consistent viscosity and non-settling behavior is required. CLAYTONE HT provides reliable and reproducible rheological properties, ensuring high quality, long-lasting coatings. It requires the use of a polar activator to achieve full efficiency. Optimal levels are determined through testing, but CLAYTONE HT is typically used between 0.2% to 2.0% by weight.
