DISPERBYK 162 is a high performance wetting and dispersing additive suitable for stabilizing pigments, especially carbon blacks as well as organic pigments. DISPERBYK 162 provides equal electrical charge to pigment particles, resulting in repulsion and steria stabilization to prevent possible co-flocculation, leading to improved color strength, transparency and hiding power. As a result, DISPERBYK 162 increases gloss and reduces viscosity of millbase. DISPERBYK 162 is primarily used for pigment concentrates and delivers benefits such as reduced flood and float, better color development and transparency in applications.
