BYK-3780

BYK-3780 is a silicone-containing surface additive that provides a slight reduction in surface tension and slight increase in surface slip for solvent-borne systems. It is thermostable up to 250°C and does not negatively impact intercoat adhesion. BYK-3780 stabilizes flow and ensures consistent orientation of pigments. It is particularly suitable for solvent-borne formulations where it can orientate matting agents without shining up and in high solid systems that are difficult to matt. BYK-3780 is recommended for use in solvent-borne systems where it provides benefits such as leveling, defoaming and orientation of additives without negatively impacting other properties.
