AQUACER 501

AQUACER 501 is an HDPE-based wax emulsion additive that provides surface protection properties. It improves scratch resistance in aqueous systems. As a non-ionic emulsion of oxidized HD polyethylene wax with a typical non-volatile matter of 35% and water being the carrier, AQUACER 501 has a melting point of 130°C and viscosity of 25 mPa.s at 23°C. It is pH neutral at 9 and recommended for use in aqueous coatings and printing formulations. AQUACER 501 additive at 1-6% can enhance durability and longevity of coated surfaces. Its unique wax chemistry and emulsion technology makes it well-suited for enhancing performance of coatings used in applications where scratch and wear resistance is important.
