VESTAKEEP® Care are polyether ether ketone (PEEK) grades with high resistance to heat, chemicals and hydrolysis and thus could be considered for applications like surgical instruments, parts of functional units as well as durable medical equipment. In an extensive testing program run by independent certified labs, biocompatibility has been tested following United States Pharmacopeia and ISO 10993-1:2003 guidelines. The test reports attest VESTAKEEP® Care's excellent biocompatibility. The Care grades are designed for short time contact to human blood, tissue or bone for up to 30 days.
