BYK-8020

BYK-8020 is a silicone resin-based additive that stabilizes foam in mechanically foamable materials. BYK-8020 allows for the formation of a fine, homogeneous and open-celled foam structure providing very good resistance to compression set. Compared to other stabilizers, BYK-8020 results in a drier surface and reduced water uptake. It can be post-added or directly injected during mixing. BYK-8020 is particularly suitable for applications requiring a lightweight yet durable end product as the unique foam structure improves strength-to-weight ratio and insulating properties.
