BYK-3566

BYK-3566 is a surface-active additive that combines good leveling properties with anti-cratering effects, especially in aqueous systems. The silicone macromers contained within also promote the orientation of the additive toward the coating/air interface in solvent-borne, 100% and UV systems, which has a positive effect on the wetting and leveling of the next layer as well as its adhesion. BYK-3566 can help improve the collection of spray mist and is often used in formulations where a smooth finish with few defects is required. It is commonly added at 0.1-2% to provide benefits such as reduced pinholes, enhanced surface properties and a more uniform appearance.
