DISPERBYK-187 is an additive used for increasing the color paste acceptance in aqueous systems. As an alkylol ammonium salt of a polyfunctional polymer, DISPERBYK-187 improves the storage stability of products like gloss and flow of emulsion paints. It also enhances the color paste acceptance and color development in tinting systems for the industrial solutions industry. DISPERBYK-187 is commonly used together with a dispersion additive such as BYK-154. It is typically added at a rate of 0.3-1% to formulations. Being soluble in propylene glycol and methoxypropanol, DISPERBYK-187 provides benefits like better color development and shelf life to solutions used in industrial applications.
