DISPERBYK-145

DISPERBYK-145 is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive that is particularly suitable for stabilizing pigments in non-polar systems. As a phosphoric ester salt of a high molecular weight copolymer with pigment-affinic groups, DISPERBYK-145 deflocculates pigments by steric stabilization. This results in small particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments, allowing for high levels of gloss and improved color strength. Viscosity is reduced while leveling properties and higher pigment loading are improved. DISPERBYK-145 is highly compatible with standard binders and particularly recommended for non-polar systems. It increases transparency with transparent pigments and hiding power with opaque pigments. Optimal performance requires incorporation into the mill base before pigment addition.
