BYK-3951 P

BYK 3951 P is a high molecular-weight copolymer additive with several pigment-affinio groups. These groups result in improved dispersion of solid particles like pigments and fillers used in applications, reducing viscosity and enabling higher contents. Leveling is increased and out-gassing is better, providing better substrate wetting. As a powder, BYK 3951 P is mixed with resins and other raw materials then extruded for good dispersion. This promotes gloss and leveling, preventing defects. It works best combined with a standard leveling additive. BYK 3951 P allows for higher loading of pigments and fillers used in applications, improving appearance and hiding power. The enhanced leveling also results in a smoother appearance after application.
