BYK-088

BYK 088 is a defoamer additive based on silicones and polymers. It is aromatic-free and suitable for solvent-free and solvent-borne formulations. BYK 088 prevents foam and bubbles during the manufacturing process. It can be used in ambient curing systems at recommended levels of 0.5-2% to reduce entrapped air. As an air release agent, BYK 088 allows for a smooth application and finish without defects. It is particularly beneficial in flooring and casting applications where uniformity and aesthetics are important performance criteria. BYK 088 can also be added to adhesives and sealants on polyurethane basis at 0.1-1% to improve their application properties.
