CARBOTHANE PC 3572D is a medical grade polycarbonate-based aliphatic Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that exhibits excellent oxidative stability in blood contact and provides good mechanical performance. With a Shore Hardness of 69D, Specific Gravity of 1.15 and Ultimate Tensile strength of 9600 psi, CARBOTHANE PC 3572D can withstand high mechanical stresses during processing and end-use applications. Its high Vicat Temperature of 63°C and Glass Transition Temperature of 50°C make it suitable for applications involving higher temperatures. Being inherently resistant to yellowing by aging and sterilization processes, CARBOTHANE PC 3572D maintains optical clarity in long-term use. These properties of CARBOTHANE PC 3572D make it well-suited for producing high-performance Advanced Materials with requirements of biocompatibility, durability and transparency. Due to their good oxidative and biocompatible properties CARBOTHANE grades are suitable for long-term implants.
