CARAMEL COLOUR 1100M E150a (“class I”), of neutral to slightly negative colloidal charge, obtained by controlled heat treatment of food carbohydrates. 1100M is a Class I Caramel Color with a average tinctorial power of 0.100. It is recognized as the color of choice of the spirits industry thanks to its stability in high alcohol environment and its specific yellow tones. This version is Maize-based to fulfill the requirements of some whiskies manufacturers. To promote the caramelization acids, basis or salts can be used except sulfite and ammonium compounds. Appearance: dark brown, fluid liquid.
