Orafti®L95 is a kosher and halal certified food ingredient (liquid) consisting mainly of oligofructose produced by partial enzymatic hydrolysis from chicory inulin. Oligofructose consists of oligosaccharides composed of fructose units linked together by β-(2,1)-linkages. Part of the fructose chains are terminated by a glucose unit. The number of fructose and glucose units in oligofructose (Degree of Polymerization = DP) ranges mainly between 2 and 8. Appearance: viscous syrup. Nutritional benefits: improving the balance of intestinal flora; supporting fiber enrichment; reducing food intake; reduing fat content; and increasing calcium absorption. It is an ideal fat replacer and is easily incorporated in moist or semi-moist food products.
