Orafti®HP-Gel is a kosher and halal certified food ingredient (powder) consisting of long-chain chicory inulin. Orafti®HP-Gel is a High Performance inulin for the preparation of Orafti® creme. Long-chain inulin consists of polysaccharides composed of fructose units linked together by B-(2,1)-linkages. Almost every fructose chain is terminated by a glucose unit. Long-chain inulin is produced by removal of the shorter chain inulin from chicory inulin. The number of fructose and glucose units (Degree of polymerization = DP) ranges. Appearance: fine, white to slightly yellow powder. Nutritional benefits: improving the balance of intestinal flora; supporting fiber enrichment; reducing food intake; reduing fat content; and increasing calcium absorption. It is an ideal fat replacer and is easily incorporated in moist or semi-moist food products.
