SILFOAM® SD 850 can be used for defoaming surfactant-containing formulations or for foam suppression in processes that use surfactants, with a significant reduction in undesirable secondary effects, such as incompatibility, rapid exhaustion or low alkali resistance. SILFOAM® SD 850 is suitable primarily for alkaline processes in the textiles industry (bleaching, washing, dyeing, etc.) and surfactant-containing compositions in which the defoamer is required to be highly compatible, for example, liquid detergents and cleaning agents.
