Bormed™ HD800CF-11 is a polypropylene homopolymer intended for evaluation for use in Healthcare applications. This grade is suitable for the manufacturing of non-oriented cast films on chill roll process and blown films on tubular water quenching process. This grade can also be processed using injection moulding technology. The grade name suffix -11 is a temporary suffix, which will be removed when catalyst change is completed. Borealis prohibits the use of any grade product in an implantable device that is introduced into the human body by surgical intervention and that is intended to remain in place following the surgical procedure, e-g- stents, pacemakers. A filled-in Risk Assessment Form and its corresponding approval by Borealis is needed for material sampling and for every Healthcare application.
