RHEOBYK 7405 is a rheology additive used to enhance rheological properties in solvent-free and solvent-borne systems. RHEOBYK 7405 reinforces three-dimensional network structures of organophilic phyllosilicates and hydrophilic fumed silica through additional bridges, thereby enhancing thixotropy. This helps achieve sufficiently high anti-sagging properties with improved leveling, even with low quantities of additives. A considerable thixotropy enhancement is noticeable in both clear and pigmented systems. RHEOBYK 7405 is effective when used in combination with organophilic phyllosilicates and hydrophilic types of fumed silica. It provides benefits like high anti-sagging properties and improved leveling at low additive quantities for applications requiring controlled viscosity and flow properties.
