DISPERBYK-2008

DISPERBYK 2008 is a structured acrylate copolymer with pigment-affinio groups that acts as a wetting and dispersing additive. DISPERBYK 2008 was specifically developed as a wetting and dispersing additive for silica-based matting agents which are used in solvent-free UV systems and high-solid systems. It is typically used with silica matting agents and works on matting agents with or without surface treatment. Even at a low dosage, the dispersion and stability of the matting agent is considerably improved. It considerably reduces the viscosity and has a very good orientation of the matting agent. DISPERBYK 2008 enables matt surfaces to be produced even when based on standard silicas. As a wetting and dispersing additive, DISPERBYK 2008 is particularly suitable for silica-filled systems. Due to its basic pigment-affinio groups, DISPERBYK 2008 is compatible with most types of silica and works both with hydrophilic and hydrophobic silicas. It considerably reduces the viscosity.
