DISPERBYK-180

DISPERBYK-180 is an alkylol ammonium salt of a copolymer with acidic groups. It is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive that is used to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. DISPERBYK-180 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization, resulting in smaller pigment particle sizes. This leads to higher gloss levels, improved color strength, increased transparency and hiding power. It also reduces viscosity and allows for higher pigment loading.
