BYK-342

BYK 342 is a silicone-containing surface additive that provides strong reduction in surface tension. It contains a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane solution. BYK 342 especially improves substrate wetting and prevents cratering. Increased surface slip, gloss and anti-blocking properties are also seen with the use of BYK 342. As a result, BYK 342 delivers excellent leveling and flow control. It can be added during any stage of the production process, including post-addition. BYK 342 has been found to be very effective at usage levels between 0.1-0.3% in different formulations without causing any foam stabilization or recoatability issues.
